MENTAL HEALTH performing It Makes Me Laugh

Bobby Fingers snatched this bit of video on his phone. Sorry about the poor sound quality - the band was louder than his phone could handle!

BROKEN NEWS.....

TOUR DATES
MENTAL HEALTH will be giving a rare live performance at the British Legion Hall, Louth, Lincolnshire, UK, on Saturday 5th February 2011. Doors open 8pm.
(Gig ends 11pm)

Tickets £5 on the door, or in advance from Off The Beaten Tracks record shop, Aswell Street, Louth.

Support will be a rare solo performance from Legendary Night Owl and longtime friend of the band Jon Newby.

It will be the first time in 25 years that MENTAL HEALTH have played in their home town.

This gig will also be the third date in MENTAL HEALTH's "Milennium Tour" which started several years ago. The band state that they are simply being true to the old Lincolnshire adage: "If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing slowly."

BBC RADIO SESSION
Last Friday's MENTAL HEALTH's radio session on BBC Lincolshire Introducing was a triumph over adversity. Like Moses through the Red Sea, the snows parted and MENTAL HEALTH ploughed their way towards the promised radio station. Despite a bit of a dodgey mix (poor old Stan was drumming his little heart out, but it's buried under an avalanche of sound), the set was declared a triumph by, erm, the band.
Mrs Le Boggit has been quick with the gushing praise: "I've heard you sound worse."

Could be good. Could be embarrassing. Could be both! Only one way to find out...

Simon Le Boggit and the Dream Machine!
The Dream Machine was a large-scale architectural animation project which took place in Brighton, UK, on 30th October 2010 - the night the clocks went back an hour. (website)
MENTAL HEALTH's Simon Le Boggit was one of several animators contributing to the dreams and visions that lit up the Old Steine’s Georgian mansion, Marlborough House, animating its architecture. The event created a genuine spectacle.

It was part of Brighton’s annual White Night festival, which transforms the town centre with a surreal mix of art installations, some continuing 'til dawn. One of this year's highlights had to be the 2,000 zombies pouring through the town centre, remaining stubbornly in character.
